Summary of Position: | Teaching required Advanced First Aid course fall semester for Law Enforcement Academy following MCOLES requirements. Availability to teach Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
First Aid instructors shall hold valid and current certification by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or a comparable organization or institution approved by MCOLES.
Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for professionals (adult, child, infant) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) shall be the prerequisites for the MCOLES basic training first aid objectives. These certifications must include in-person skills testing.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Instruct students in Advanced First Aid following the appropriate course module required for certification as a law enforcement officer.
Report to Law Enforcement Academy training director
Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
