About the Position:
The Engineer Senior Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead provides engineering leadership of a cross-functional team with responsibility and authority to deliver key mechanical products, and integrate and test them at the subsystem and vehicle level. The IPTL leads or oversees related performance activities and drives key engineering decisions to meet project schedule and cost goals.

9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off)

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
Subsystem/domain technical authority; ensures product is developed in accordance with GDLS and customer engineering standards to achieve program requirements
Provide direction and guidance to applicable stakeholders to deliver technical products and deliverables to support project milestones
Ensure the mechanical and auxiliary systems team products meet technical, cost, quality, and performance requirements
Manage mechanical and auxiliary systems product teams to deliver on technical scope within project constraints, and ensures customer expectations are met
Signature authority over related mechanical and auxiliary systems team scope, schedule, and budget
Responsible for review and approval of related products / CDRLs / Milestone review content
Individual will have control account responsibility for mechanical and auxiliary systems areas
Makes trade/technical decisions in coordination with Chief Engineer
Responsible for execution and management of design release to Engineering Release Plan (ERP)
Responsible for related subcontractor performance and coordination for engineering tasks
Lead engineer for GDLS Leadership and Customers on mechanical and auxiliary systems IPT scope execution
Coordinate with functional departments on related technical resource needs
Supports negotiations of technical requirements, scope and deliverables
Participates as part of the program leadership team in developing plans and guidance, making critical program decisions, and leading the execution of that direction
Identify and document risks and opportunities
Develop risk mitigation strategies for identified risks
Prepare and present project technical results and recommendations to GDLS senior management and customers
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree with a minimum 8 years of applicable experience
Experience in design, development and integration of mechanical and auxiliary systems of military vehicles
Experience in mechanical and auxiliary system products
Experience with tracked vehicles
Highly motivated performer
Works well in team and individually
Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime
Strong communication, interpersonal, and people skills is required
Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and control account management experience is preferred
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) knowledge is required
This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible)
Ability to make decisions in a fast paced dynamic environment
Ability to travel when needed
