Job Title: Powertrain System Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Systems Engineer to consolidate powertrain feature documents in IBM Rational DOORS and develop a variant management strategy for creating different versions of feature requirement documents using the Macro Variant functionality of IBM Rational DOORS. As an Onsite Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in coordinating with clients, managing requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with client feature owners to collect input requirements and prepare a repository in IBM Rational DOORS for managing input and deliverables.
- Participate in and/or coordinate work-product review meetings with clients and offshore engineers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Serve as a single point of contact between client engineers and KPIT offshore engineers, resolving technical queries and ensuring prompt issue resolution.
- Collaborate with KPIT technical leads and project managers to meet quality and delivery timelines, ensuring that work products meet client expectations.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of powertrain features, including conventional, hybrid, and BEV powertrains, and apply this knowledge to drive requirement engineering and authoring efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering other related Engineering degree
- Proficient in requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORs, IBM DOORS Next Gen etc.
- Experience in Requirement engineering and requirement authoring.
- Very good communication skills.
- Good understanding of INCOSE Requirement authoring guidelines.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products Outlook, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
- Good Understanding of Automotive EE architecture, Powertrain features (Conventional, Hybrid, BEV powertrains)
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN
- Experience with Vector Tools for data collection.
- Vehicle Validation or Powertrain Calibration experience.
- Familiarity with Agile project management
- Experience with overall vehicle development.
- Basic understanding of Gen AI tools and methodologies, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
