Our Agency client is seeking a Senior 3D Designer (Architecture, Events) to join their team in a full-time role. This is a hybrid position working onsite 3 days a week in Birmingham, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for creating immersive and engaging 3D environments that enhance user experiences and bring projects to life. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop designs that meet clients' needs and exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of 3D experiential projects from concept to execution.
- Develop 3D concepts, layouts, and designs that align with creative briefs and brand narratives.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that align with their goals.
- Produce high-quality sketches, design intent drawings, and technical documentation to communicate ideas effectively.
- Fluent in CAD (ideally VectorWorks), and can produce comprehensive design intent technical drawing packages, including plans, elevations, and pertinent design detailing.
- Create high-quality renders and real-time visualizations using Unreal Engine for rendering and either Rhino, Blender or Cinema 4D for modelling.
- Translate concepts into animations or interactive walkthroughs, bringing designs to life.
- Work with 2D designers and motion specialists to integrate graphic elements into 3D environments.
- Liaise with fabricators, engineers, and production specialists to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet production requirements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in 3D design, interior architecture, exhibition, or environmental design. Degree or equivalent qualification in Interior, Architecture or Environmental Design.
- Ability to sketch, visualize, and communicate ideas quickly.
- Exceptional design aesthetic, strong knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and production processes.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in spatial storytelling, brand experiences, and high-quality visualizations.
- Proficient with 3D tools such as VectorWorks, Rhino, Blender, Cinema 4D, etc.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
