Housing Resources Supervisor
Department: Housing Resources
Reports to: Housing Resources Manager
Employment Status Classification: Exempt, Full-Time Salary
Salary Range: $39,520.00 – $45,760.00 per year
Job Description Summary:
The Housing Resources Supervisor will oversee the Housing Resources staff, ensuring the efficient operation of the call center, community educational programs, and the achievement of customer housing service goals.
Essential Functions:
- Provide daily supervision for designated Housing Resources team members as specified by grant funding and parameters. Additionally, provide supplemental supervision and guidance to other team members under the Housing Resources Department as needed.
- Supervise the daily activities of call center staff, working closely with Housing Resources Specialists to manage call queues, arrange community activities, and provide guidance on resources and call interactions.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new staff on company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Validate that staff follow all workflows and job aids related to their roles.
- Address performance and disciplinary issues, providing conflict resolution as needed.
- Prepare agendas and lead bi-weekly team meetings.
- Conduct quality reviews of records and information entered into the databases utilized by staff to identify quality improvement needs.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in collaboration with department leadership and the Quality and Data Management team.
- Approve staff timecards and expense reports within designated timelines.
- Complete annual and mid-year performance evaluations and goal setting as per Human Resources guidelines.
- Work directly with Housing Resources call center staff and Housing Counseling staff to respond to program participant and community partner needs, identify staff to attend community outreach locations and events, and provide guidance and support in regard to resources and calls in Oakland and Macomb County.
- Develop forms, workflows, presentations, and workshops for grant specified activities as requested by the Manager and the Director.
- Develop and implement housing educational programs and resources for those seeking housing services and the community.
- Coordinate and facilitate classes, workshops, and seminars on housing related topics.
- Assist potential program participants in completing applications for appropriate housing options.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community agencies and resources to enhance service delivery and support.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make improvements as needed.
- Provide housing expertise to individuals seeking housing services, stakeholders, service providers, and community partners for complex cases.
- Represent Community Housing Network at community forums and participate in workgroups at the Continuum of Care (CoC) level and statewide initiatives focused on coordinated entry system efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human service-related field or 5 years of experience working with program participants in mental health services or lived experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and motivated to ensure high-quality work with attention to detail and timely completion of projects.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred experience in communicating with individuals experiencing severe mental illness (SMI), in recovery, and those who are unstably housed.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Products; knowledge of the homeless Coordinated Entry System (CES) and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is desired.
- Strong ability to represent the interests of CHN, interact effectively with a diverse population, and build successful collaborative relationships with program participants, staff, interns, and community partners while demonstrating CHN Core Values of Inclusion, Integrity, Innovation, and Passion.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and appropriate automobile insurance coverage that meets the organization’s requirements ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 coverage) for business use of a personal vehicle. CHN reserves the right to conduct a motor vehicle record check for any employee where driving is an essential function of the position.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- This position requires the ability to work Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm in Oakland County and Macomb County. May require evening or weekend community educational activities.
- Requires the ability to be active working in the community in the outside elements, including walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting.
