How you make an impact…
The Senior Project Manager leads/co-leads complex cross-functional projects across business units using appropriate project management and/or agile methodologies (PMI, Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.). Success in this role is met by managing project resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical and business requirements. The Senior Project Manager masterfully manages up, down, and across the organization to optimize outcomes and proactively contribute to a fun, nurturing, motivating culture.
What you need to succeed…
- Bachelor degree in STEM field, business management, information technology, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 8+ years of Project Management experience
- High proficiency and proven successful delivery of project management and/or agile methodologies (PMI, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile development, Scaled Agile and lean techniques and methodologies (Disciplined Agile, SAFe, etc.).
- 3+ years of collaborating with and managing cross-functional teams including business subject matter experts, technical experts, and compliance teams for project execution.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you know how to develop & maintain strong relationships with all levels/teams of the organization, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience understanding business requirements, technical concepts, and business processes.
- Understand how to integrate into a new team/organization – appreciate the history of current state, know how and when to make suggestions, as well as using just the right pace to reach the improved future state.
- Understand your own communication and learning styles, assess others’ styles, and are able to find the right path to connect the two.
- Exceptional technology skills – you find working with any software very comfortable and you easily adapt to new products; Highly efficient with MS Office products; Expert skill with project tracking such as MS Project and Smartsheet is essential.
- Strong facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Operate well in a highly dynamic environment and adapt to rapid changes.
- Use creative problem solving skills to ask the right questions, identify risks and emerging needs and handle or advise accordingly.
- Demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop, and coach others.
Great to have…
- Master’s degree in a STEM field or other related field.
- 10+ years of Project Management experience.
- Understanding of commercial business process.
- Marketing Technology Experience.
- Pharmaceutical Industry experience.
- Project Management Professions (PMP) Certification
- Agile Training/Certification, e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Other things to note…
- Full-time position.
- The company’s standard operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6a – 6p with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts.
- This position will have regular working hours during M – F with an expectation of adjusting to working outside of the standard operating hours as needed.
- Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area. Travel between locations is expected in the role.
