GHD is seeking a Senior Scientist to work with our Data and Insights team and Contaminated Assessment Remediation (CAR) group based out of our Farmington Hills, MI office in supporting the delivery of client facing projects. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you: * Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelines. * Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery. * Manage project budgets, cost estimations, and billing processes. * Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote multidisciplinary capabilities (e.g. data, analytics and insights) to potential clients. * Provide geological expertise and insights to support project objectives. * Develop innovative approaches and solutions to enhance multidisciplinary capabilities and optimize delivery. * Mentor and guide team members to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. * Be a point of connection between internal teams in Environment and Business Advisory * Be a project manager on external delivery projects * Support business development of external opportunities through proposal writing What you will bring to the team: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science). * 10-15 years' experience including a mix of field, data evaluation and interpretation and technical report writing. * Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment. * Working knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air and groundwater. * Working knowledge of data evaluation, storage environments and data analysis programs. * Critical thinking and problem solving - ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Positive attitude, very strong interpersonal skills * Establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with superiors, co-workers and clients - effective collaborators are welcome * Self-starter and willingness to work in a team in a fast-paced environment * Interest in continuing professional development Stakeholders and Key Relationships: * Central Regional Leadership * Data and Insights Leadership * GHD Clients and Potential Clients * GHD Project Managers and Directors GHD Behavioral Competencies: * Highly developed communication skills - both oral and written * Open sharing of information and knowledge * Strong people relationship skills * Sound judgment and decisiveness * Diplomacy and discretion when dealing with confidential matters * Negotiating skills * Time management skills * Ability to operate with minimal direction * Competency in relevant keyboard and IT skills * Responsive Key Performance Indicators: * Collaborate with data analytics and CAR teams to enhance technology transfer and use of technology as a differentiator for client facing projects. * Individual utilization goal 70% with ramp up period of 6 months * Prepare technical reports, client proposals, and manage task/project delivery for environmental and data driven client facing projects.
