Position: Float Member Service Representative I
Employment Status: Grade 4 / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Float Branch Leader
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members. Essential Duties

Receive and process member transactions including cash/check deposits, transfers, and loan payments

Assist members with account changes and inquiries

Work at various credit union branches across Mid-Michigan, adapting to branch-specific needs

Maintain consistency in service quality and adherence to policies across all branches

Accurately record transactions and follow through with requests
-
Communicate effectively and remain open to feedback

Must be available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M–F, with daily travel, rotating Saturdays, and occasional after-hours training/meetings

Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation within first year of service with M1
Duties and Responsibilities

Create opportunities for expanded member relationships and recommend appropriate credit union solutions

Remind members of delinquent payments
-
Maintain sales and service performance expectations
-
Process cash and check transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments
-
Handle inquiries on account balances, statements, and histories
-
Process check orders
-
Sell Visa gift cards, travel cards, and cashier’s checks/money orders
-
Collect applicable service fees
-
Answer phones, handle mail, and support other departments as needed

Participate in monthly coaching and development
General Sales Expectations

Build relationships with members by offering products/services that support financial well-being

Actively participate in credit union promotions and initiatives

Support member onboarding to build long-term relationships

Education and Experience

Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
-
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Experience operating a personal computer

Strong working knowledge of credit union products and services
-
Ability to learn and navigate credit union systems and procedures
-
Must attain CCUFC certification within the first 6 months
