Position: Member Service Representative I
Employment Status: Pay Grade 4 / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Branch Leader
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members. Essential Duties

Receive and process member transactions, including cash/check handling, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments

Assist members with account maintenance and changes

Cross-sell products and services to increase member share of wallet

Ensure security and compliance protocols are followed during all transactions

Work Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday hours as scheduled

Attend meetings or trainings outside regular hours as needed

Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation within one year
Duties and Responsibilities

Create opportunities for expanded member relationships by recommending appropriate Credit Union solutions

Remind delinquent members that their payments are due

Meet Sales and Service Performance Expectations

Input CTR information electronically and forward to the BSA Compliance Officer

Handle inquiries on accounts, statements, and transaction histories

Process check orders, gift/travel cards, and cashier’s checks/money orders

Collect applicable service fees

Handle phone inquiries and process incoming mail

Support other departments with clerical duties as needed

Participate in monthly developmental coaching

Education and Experience

Minimum high school graduate or equivalent

At least one year of experience operating a personal computer

Knowledge of or the ability to learn Credit Union systems, products, services, and procedures

Strong communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
*Education and experience requirements may be waived for Co-Op students.
