Position: Intervention Coordinator (Special Education Department)
Start Date: Immediate
Terms of Employment: 200 Day Contract, $87,350-$92,016
Job Summary: The Intervention Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and assigning compliance responsibilities to other staff and contractors as needed. They will work closely with the Superintendent and Associate Superintendent of Special Education to establish policies and procedures, and facilitate ongoing review and improvement efforts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students while maintaining compliance with district policies and legal requirements. The Coordinator’s efforts contribute to the ongoing improvement crisis response practices within the District’s Special Education Department.
Certifications/Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Special Education, Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or other closely related field.
- Experience in special education administration, behavioral intervention, or crisis management preferred and knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and identify trends.
- Ability to provide training and professional development to staff.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with administrators, educators, and support staff.

Performance Responsibilities:
- Review Incident Reports for accuracy and compliance with district policies.
- Ensure follow-up actions after incidents reported and evaluate practices via data analysis and feedback.
- Oversee training in intervention techniques, ensuring best practices and legal compliance.
- Submit status reports as required by direct supervisor and/or administration.
- Submit Incident Reports to the Special Education Supervisor for review; facilitate alternate review if the Supervisor is involved.
- Conduct incident reviews within established timeline to meet deadlines
- Facilitate and/or participate in meetings (monthly and/or quarterly) to review Incident Reports, disciplinary data, and intervention practices.
- Review annual data from the central database and complaints to identify trends.
- Collaborate with administration on remedial actions like training, staffing, and policy updates.
- Submit an annual report to the Associate Superintendent of Special Education.
- Complete all required training as established by administration.
- Train staff annually in the Special Education Department and ensure all staff attend training or ensure completion within 3 months of training offered.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Superintendent of Special Education.
