Advertised Salary: $1375 per credit hour taught. Salary commensurate with qualifications pursuant to the FSU and FNTFO/AFT agreement. FLSA: Exempt Temporary/Continuing: Temporary Part-Time/Full-Time: Part-Time Union Group: Ferris Nontenure-Track Faculty Organization (FNTFO) (AFT) Term of Position: As Needed At Will/Just Cause: At Will Summary of Position: The Humanities Department has a need for History instructors for the Fall 2024 and/or the Spring 2025 semesters to teach a wide variety of history courses on an as needed basis. Courses may include US History (survey courses) and/or Global History. Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing Required Education: Master's degree in History OR Master's degree in another field with 18 graduate credits of coursework in history. Required Work Experience: Prior teaching experience at the high school level or higher. Required Licenses and Certifications: Physical Demands: Office Environment Bending Carrying Moving Reaching Sitting Twisting Lifting Pulling/Pushing Repetitive movement Standing Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Teaching experience in higher education, preferred.
