Summary of Position: | The Offensive Assistant Football Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in recruiting, training, and coaching members of the football team. The Offensive Assistant Football Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by the NCAA at the Division II level.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Maintains knowledge and rules of the NCAA in all aspects as it relates to this position. Recruits student-athletes and complete necessary compliance paperwork with regard to recruiting. Assists in study hall or academic counseling sessions. Maintain knowledge of coaching strategies. Assist with pre/post workouts. Provides academic/personal counseling of position players. Compiles and reviews accountability sheets and visit with players on a weekly and monthly basis as needed. Assists in preparation of game plan. Assists with practice planning with other members of coaching staff. Utilizes summer camp exposure as positive public relations work for the institution. Knowledge of fundamentals and techniques of Football. Reports directly to the Head Football Coach. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information. Liaison to the Ferris State University Office of Housing and Residence Life Coordinator of off campus housing for football student athletes Football Liaison to Ferris State University Dining Hall Services - Football Camp - Friday Team Meals - Recruiting visits Football Liaison to Ferris State University Catering Services - National Championship ring ceremony banquet - Football Coaches Clinic Football Team purchasing agent for Pepsi Company Football Coaches retreat Coordinator Football Team Fall Picnic Coordinator Coordinate Onboardings of all incoming freshmen and transfers - Medical forms - Athletic Form - Housing - Freshmen roommate pairing - Football Orientation - Report Day check-in Football Countable Athletic Relatable Activity Administrator Football Team Championship Ring order Coordinator Operates university motor or personal vehicles safely while carrying out job responsibilities.
