Position Title: Commercial Loan Processor
Reports To: Loan Documentation Supervisor
General Purpose:
Performs a variety of duties related to the package, processing and administration of commercial loans.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining document files for all commercial customers.
- Typing loan documents for new and renewal commercial loans.
- Obtaining necessary documentation from loan officers, customers, attorneys, realtors, insurance agents, title insurance companies and the State of Michigan in order to complete the loan package and perfect a lien on the collateral.
- Closing loan packages and calculating the settlement documents.
- Post-closing processing as well as tracking and following up on pending documents.
- Assisting customers with inquiries about commercial loan documentation and terms.
- Contribute to the department teamwork by fostering positive relationships with coworkers through effective communication and predictable on-site job performance.
- Assisting lending officers, department head, prepares reports, etc. as directed.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- High school diploma required
- 2 years of banking experience preferred, but not required
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and able to work well with others
