Position Title: Great Start to Quality Central Resource Center Director

Reports To: Director of Early Childhood and Family Services
Position Summary
Responsible for implementing Great Start Quality (GSQ) in the Central Region as outlined in the Scope of Work and works collaboratively with the Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC). Oversees Quality Improvement (QI) Staff in Lansing Office and supports QI staff in Midland Office. Serves as lead contact with ECIC, Great Start Collaboratives and Family Coalitions, MiLEAP and other community partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains positive collaborative relationships with all staff, providers, families, local districts, community partners and agencies.
- Completes all necessary reports and paperwork to assure all contract requirements are met in a professional and timely manner.
- Facilitates and coordinates regional Partnership to Support Quality (PTSQ) meetings.
- Attends required ECIC meetings, Early Childhood staff meetings and professional development as appropriate.
- Oversees and monitors GSQ RC website, communications, and media activities.
- Submits annual Staffing Plan and Professional Development, as required by grant.
- Helps monitor expenditures and budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Master’s Degree is required in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of ten years work experience in Early Childhood field including leadership/administrative role.
- Establish rapport and cultivate relationships with diverse populations and multiple organizations.
- In depth knowledge of existing Early Childhood statewide programs and initiatives, knowledge of research and best practices in QI work.
- Knowledge and working experience in planning and facilitating meetings and supporting current coaching models.
- Excellent computer and database management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with contracted services, grant writing, and budgeting.
Terms of Employment
Administrative/Non-Bargaining
Full-time position, 251 days per year, 7.5 hours per day
Salary Range, $60,000 - $65,000
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, see and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 60 pounds or more. Occasional travel may be required. Noise levels are typically moderate.
