Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Manager, the Engineering Intern will learn the functional support in reliability maintenance. Magnesia Specialties is the leading producer of high purity magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide and dolomitic lime products, which are used in a variety of environmental, industrial, chemical, and specialty applications. This internship will offer a variety of experiences that may include, process mapping and plant layout improvements, equipment and infrastructure upgrades, engineering and design, and maintenance and efficiency improvements. Key Responsibilities: * Must be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated * Will take an active role in the company's safety initiatives * Must be a self-motivated, strong work ethic individual that is willing to work with minimal supervision * Will learn to use IR cam, manometer, laser level, ultrasound and associated software for tools Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering * High-level verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills * Ability to use Auto CAD LT, MS Applications, Asana, other project management applications * Capable of working in an office or shop environment where sitting, standing, kneeling, or bending for long periods of time may be required. May be exposed to working from heights and a plant environment which may include dust. * Ability to wear PPE while in the Plant (Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, Hardhats, Earplugs, High-Viz Vest or Shirts, other as required) A member of the S&P 500 Index, Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials - including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt.
