The Opportunity
We are seeking a mid-level engineer or architect to join our team—a role that offers the chance to build on your existing expertise while serving as a vital link between our early-career and senior professionals. Ideal candidates will have prior experience at a engineering, architecture, or consulting firm and a strong desire to deepen their technical skills. As a member of the Building Materials Group, you will tackle complex challenges, delving into the details to develop innovative solutions for projects ranging from buildings to bridges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Building Science, or related field.
- Five (5) plus years of similar experience.
- Excellent technical, written, graphical and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on investigations, condition assessments, and construction observations of buildings.
- Conduct testing using various tools including nondestructive testing methods.
- Analyze field and laboratory data and research to facilitate problem-solving and repair design.
- Assist with preparation of client deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and written reports.
- Interface with internal and external project teams, clients, and contractors.
- Work with team members to grow your knowledge in building systems and components.
- Assist in mentoring early-career team members.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to cover out-of-town overnight projects. A valid driver’s license (good driving record) is required.
