What You Drive at DTNA
Drywall installation, finishing and wallpaper hanging
Erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level.
Smoothing surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool.
General wood construction carpentry, including steel or metal studs.
Installation of suspended ceilings.
Installation of carpet and floor tiles.
Installation of doors and associated hardware.
Filling nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty plaster.
Determining the type and amount of material required for each project.
Reading prints and laying out project plans.
General priming and painting.
Transporting the materials and equipment to each work site.
Working with powered industrial Carpentry tooling and machines.
Complying with all applicable safety regulations.
Training and managing apprentices and subordinates
Additional Information
High school diploma or GED.
High standard of integrity and professionalism;
Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;
Carpenter Journeyman card or documentation of 8-years commercial carpentry experience.
Good math and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and rigging.
