Livestock 2nd Shift
Indiana Packers Corporation, Delphi Indiana
As a Livestock team member, you will unload handle and move hogs from our barns and facilities, all while following Humane Handling guidelines. This factory position is needed for 8-10 hours a day, including some Saturdays. Second shift hours are from 3:15pm - 12:30am.

This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage of $20.50 per hour for the second shift.
Responsibilities
- Handles swine unloading them from semi-trucks and directs them to the barns, while following Humane Animal Handling guidelines.
- Moves hogs from barns into the plant
- Maintains the barn facility in a clean and operating order
- Monitors the health of hogs reporting to supervisor of any changes
- Perform physically demanding work that requires attention to detail, strength, stamina and good hand-eye coordination (while keeping safety as top priority).
- Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere.

Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Experience in safe animal handling practices or willingness to learn about these practices
- Must be able to pass the Pork Checkoff Quality Assurance Test
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to identify risks that could affect the livestock's well-being
- Capability to react quickly to unpredictable livestock behaviors
- Must be able to work in wet, humid, and odorous environments with animal feces and other fluids
- Must be able to work outdoors in cold or hot environments
- Ability to step in and out of pens with gates multiple times a day working in a fast-paced environment
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions including company policies & procedures

This factory position is in Delphi Indiana (6755 W 100 N Delphi, IN 46923), a short drive from Lafayette Indiana & Purdue University.
