Job Description:
Position Overview
The Solution Architect will assist teams with the architecture of new and existing applications using cloud architecture patterns and processes. This role involves working with product teams to define, assemble, and integrate components based on the clients standards and business requirements, such as hardware, software, availability, scalability, and reliability. The Solution Architect supports the product team in developing technical designs and documentation, participates in proof of concepts, and supports the product solution evaluation processes. This role also provides architecture guidance and technical design leadership, demonstrating the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, assemble, and integrate components based on Ford standards and business requirements.
- Support the product team in developing technical designs and documentation.
- Participate in proof of concepts and support product solution evaluation processes.
- Provide architecture guidance and technical design leadership.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Run, Data Flow, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and other related GCP services.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and GKE.
- Experience with Large Language Models and RAG Chatbot solutions.
- Experience in designing high-availability, high-volume, low-latency technologies.
- Expertise with modern analytics tools and techniques, including data discovery and streaming analytics.
- Ability to document technical solutions clearly and concisely.
- Ability to perform hands-on proof of concepts (POCs) in GCP to meet customer demands.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Terraform, and CI/CD.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with machine learning technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, and Python Notebooks.
- Understanding of infrastructure architecture, including servers, SAN, networking, firewalls, databases, and middleware.
- Experience with microservices and single-page application (SPA) architecture.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a group to deliver top-notch solutions.
Required Experience
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform architecture.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred.
