Position: Member Service Representative I
Employment Status: Pay Grade 4 / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Branch Leader
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members. Essential Duties

Represent MFCU as trustworthy, caring, and enthusiastic in all member interactions

Process member transactions including cash and check handling, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments

Assist members with account changes and maintenance

Collaborate with the team to cross-sell appropriate products and services

Maintain compliance with all security and procedural guidelines

Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America's Credit Unions within the first year of service

Must be available to work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday–Friday, with Saturday coverage as scheduled, and attend occasional after-hours meetings or trainings
Duties and Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for additional product/service needs and refer members accordingly

Remind members of delinquent payments as needed

Maintain sales and service performance expectations

Enter CTR data electronically and communicate with the BSA Compliance Officer

Handle account inquiries and process check orders

Sell Visa gift/travel cards, cashier’s checks, and money orders

Collect applicable service fees

Answer phones and assist with mail processing

Provide clerical support as needed

Engage in monthly coaching and development
General Sales Expectations

Build strong relationships with current and new members

Offer credit union products and services that support members' financial wellness

Actively participate in promotions and Credit Union initiatives

Support the onboarding process of new members

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience operating a personal computer

Clear and concise communication skills

Working knowledge of all credit union products and services

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Ability to learn Credit Union systems and procedures
Note: Education and experience requirements may be waived for Co-Op students
