- Successful Candidate must obtain the Firefighter I and II certification within one (1) year of hire.
- Employee will attend Fire Academy or work Rescue as a Paramedic until Firefighter I and II certifications obtained.
A Paramedic/Firefighter-Cadet candidate shall be compensated at 90% of the entry firefighter established wage scale, until the state of Michigan Firefighter I and II certificates are obtained.

¦ State of Michigan Paramedic Certification or National Registry-Para medic
¦ American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS) Certifications
¦ Certificate for Conference of Western Wayne (CWW) Firefighter's Testing Program CPAT Certification.
