Controls Engineer - 2nd Shift
The position has the possibility to go to direct hire after 12 months.
Engineer responsible for supporting Production/Test Equipment….Installation, Repair, Maintenance….
Developing Predictive/Preventative maintenance programs…Experience with PLC, HMI, Data Acquisition systems a must.
Major Job Responsibilities:
• Ensuring all production related equipment is working to optimum efficiency
• Troubleshoot & repair equipment as necessary. This includes Industrial Electric as well as Hydro mechanical systems.
• Develop effective Predictive/Preventative maintenance system for all equipment
• Participate with Engineering Team to develop test equipment and process requirements for new programs.
• Create Validation plans for new equipment
• Ensure new equipment meets Environmental Health & Savety (EH&S) requirement.
• Ensuring staff compliant with all EH&S rules &practices and all company practices,policies and established rules.
• Ensure cleanliness of production floor and equipment (5S) and adherence to all maintenance requirements.
• Facility runs 24/6 must be available if necessary
Major Job Qualifications/Specific Skills:
Required:
Fluent in PLC/HMI Programming
Experience with Hydro Mechanical and Electrical systems and repair.
Ability to read Blue Prints and Schematics
Effective problem solving
Work well with minimum supervision
Write Latter logic
Preferred:
LabView, C , Visual Basic
Robotics/Automation
Required Degree: BS or
Preferred Degree: 2 year technical degree with 5 years experience with PLC and Controls.
Or Journeyman/Apprentice status from a recognized establishment
Major: Engineering Discipline
