We are searching for qualified individuals to assist in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation and fusion of plastic pipe and reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines in throughout the state of Michigan (Detroit, Port Huron, Grand Rapids, Kalkaska and the Upper Peninsula)
Main Responsibilities:
- Aligning and fusing pipe
- Installing pipe into ditch
- Tie-in to live natural gas main
- Testing and tapping of gas services and main
- Driving equipment to and from jobsite.
- Maintaining safe work environment for workers and public
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment
- Accounting for all tooling before leaving jobsite
- Travel frequently within the region for work assignments.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years’ experience in lieu of education can be considered.
- Clean driving record with a current and valid operator license
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications
- 1+ years of underground utilities, outdoor work or manual labor experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualified plastic pipe fusion experience
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A
