Position: Float Member Service Representative I
Employment Status: Grade 4 / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Float Branch Leader
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact with both internal and external members. Essential Duties

Receive and process member transactions, including cash and check deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments

Assist members with account maintenance and changes

Collaborate with branch staff to cross-sell products and increase member share of wallet

Ensure security and compliance in all transactions

Adapt to the specific needs and dynamics of various branches within the designated service area

Maintain accurate records and follow through on member requests across locations
-
Communicate effectively and be receptive to feedback

Travel daily to different branches and support locations; attend Saturday hours as scheduled and occasional meetings/trainings outside regular hours

Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America's Credit Unions within the first year of employment
Duties and Responsibilities

Create opportunities for deeper member relationships by recommending appropriate Credit Union products and services

Follow up with delinquent members regarding payments

Maintain sales and service performance standards

Process check orders, cashier’s checks, money orders, and card products

Answer phones and handle inquiries professionally

Process incoming and outgoing mail as needed

Assist other departments with clerical and support duties

Participate in monthly developmental coaching

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace

Regularly disinfect teller stations, phones, desks, and shared equipment

Safeguard member and staff confidentiality by locking desks/workstations when away
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge of or ability to learn Credit Union systems, services, products, and procedures

Must obtain CCUFC certification within the first 6 months
