Chemical Treating Relief
Biewer of Lansing, LLC is looking to add Wood Treatment Support to lead our production departments. This position will pressure-treat lumber and plywood. This position will also ensure all treated products meet quality control standards.
Scheduling: 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday (8 pm – 6 am)
Accountabilities:
- Prepare all units for treatment and assist with chemical mixing and tote changes.
- Ensure quality control for all charges.
- Follow hazardous waste handling procedures and maintain production levels safely.
- Report Issues to management and uphold a safe workplace culture, completing necessary safety
documentation.
- Conduct daily OSHA inspections on forklifts, log maintenance, and report any equipment issues.
- Implement lockout procedures as needed and collaborate with coworkers for safety.
- Report accidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors and perform housekeeping duties.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Preferred knowledge of general lumber and quality control experience.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
