General Labor/Machine Operator
Biewer of Lansing is looking to add a full-time General Labor/Machine Operators to our team in Lansing, MI. This position will train for various roles, possess problem-solving skills, and enjoy being a team player.
Scheduling:
(3rd Shift) Sunday-Thursday 8:00 pm - 6:00 am
Accountabilities:
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Ability to work in various departments as needed.
- Stacker: Package lumber into a unit size of proper dimension, grade, quality, and piece count.
- Splitter: Use a lumber splitter machine to size units of lumber.
- Delathe: The machine takes lath sticks out of plywood to prepare for shipping. Hand-stacking lumber is necessary.
- Tagger: Using a tagging/staple gun to attach customerrequired tags/labels.
- Responsibly follow all safety procedures and policies and work together with co-workers to ensure a safe work environment and culture.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
