The YMCA of Saginaw is seeking energetic and responsible Lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of all members and program participants in and around the pool. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about water safety, creating a welcoming environment, and upholding high safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

Monitor pool areas to ensure the safety of all swimmers and participants.

Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.

Respond to emergencies promptly and efficiently, including administering CPR and First Aid when necessary.

Maintain a clean and safe pool environment, including pool decks, locker rooms, and surrounding areas.

Build strong relationships with program participants and members, fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Assist with water safety education and support swim programs.

Complete any required reports and documentation as needed.
Requirements:

Must be American Red Cross certified in Lifeguarding, CPR-PR, First Aid, and AED.

If not currently certified, must be willing to register and complete a lifeguarding course.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain alert and responsive in a fast-paced environment.

Previous lifeguarding experience preferred but not required.

Energetic and approachable personality, with the ability to work well with members of all ages.

Must be at least 15 years old.
