This position will teach courses in Building Construction, Design & Construction Management, and Project Management, which may include estimating, scheduling, materials and methods, construction technologies, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, building information modeling, sustainable construction, energy management/and or building, and construction contract law, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. The incumbent will oversee the Construction Management, Building Construction, Architecture, and Civil Technologies programs as lead faculty, manage accreditation activities for these programs, and participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Other duties include participation in curriculum and course development, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and involvement in shared governance of the College. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population and work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy. Teaching assignments may include daytime and/or evening hours.
