DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUMMARY
Blue Care Network in Southfield is current seeking a Business Analyst II for their Omni facility. This role will be responsible for the following:
Departmental duties and responsibilities include the following:
* Minimum five years related experience required, contract negotiation and management thereof preferred
* Minimum of three years proven experience of ability to manage processes, procedures and people.
* Minimum three years related experience with PeopleSoft e-Pro or similar application
* Strategic skills and ability to finesse win-win scenarios.
* Must be able to analyze risk and make complex decisions that could impact BCN both financially and contractually.
* Have the ability to develop strategic approaches to vendor relationships and negotiations.
* Must be able to articulate and champion business solutions and business requirements.
* Must be able to work closely with various vendors including executive levels on daily basis.
* Must be able to develop partnerships with business associates both internally and externally.
* Ability to engage with various levels of resources, including leadership at BCN and BCBSM
Corporate Requirements:
Serve as a liaison between the business areas and the IT organization to provide technical solutions required for the achievement of business goals. Collect, analyze, develop, document, and communicate business requirement. Support several moderately complex business processes within one or more business functions.
* Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
* Provide direction for short and long-term planning sessions and provide direction to ensure understanding of business goals and direction.
* Provide input from a business and IT perspective.
* Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities and advice on options.
* Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions.
* Analyze customer’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities for improvements.
* Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
* Provide factual content to feasibility study for standard development projects and enhancements and assistance in business case development (i.e., research, data collection), as needed.
* Develop user test cases and system integration testing and validate test results during testing.
* Review and approve test plans and monitor testing process to ensure that business results are adequately tested with minimal risk, as needed.
* Investigate, resolve and escalate problems.
* Procure technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
* Keep customers informed of problems, issues, and status.
* Analyze performance metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Manage customers’ expectation.
* Coach and transfer knowledge to less experienced team members.
* Other duties may be assigned.
