Your role as a Community Development Specialist
As a Community Development Specialist at Mercantile Bank, you will be responsible for the development, delivery, coordination, and administration of the Bank's volunteer reporting system. You will work closely to support areas of the bank including Compliance, CRA, and Community Development.
Essential job functions include administering MercVolunteers, the bank's volunteer reporting system - managing, creating, promoting and approving or qualifying events in the system - as well as being the main point of contact for employees with questions about MercVolunteers and providing training as needed. This position will also include contact with nonprofit organizations, recruiting volunteers to teach financial education classes, assisting the Community Development Officer, coordinating Community Development projects and events, teaching financial education classes as needed and providing administrative support to Compliance and CRA Departments.
After the training period, this position can be up to two days working from home.
