Manufacturing Estimator / Process Specialist

Description: Average Starting Hourly Pay Range $22.00 to $28.00/hour
Day Shift Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered immediately upon employment, 401(k) after 6 months.
Overview: As a Manufacturing Estimator/Process Specialist for MERRILL: A Keel Company, you will be responsible for reviewing customer requests for quotes and technical data packages to create a manufacturing plan and quote that will meet or exceed customer and company expectations. This will be accomplished in accordance with customer, product, and industry specifications. This role aims to maintain company backlog, on time delivery, and individual and company wide sales objectives.
Job Functions:
- Develop a bill of materials from customer data packages.
- Create manufacturing plans including work center and labor estimates, materials, and outside service estimates.
- Ensure that all plans are compliant with the technical data package and related specifications.
- Identifies and mitigates risk factors related to product realization.
- Will review processes with Estimating and Pricing managers.
Physical Demands: Light lifting, typically no more than 25 lbs, moderate to high mental stress due to the critical nature of the position in winning new business, growing sales backlog, and meeting and exceeding corporate financial goals.
Work Environment: Typical office setting is to be expected with occasional time spent on the manufacturing floor, so some exposure to debris, fumes, welding flash, moving equipment, and other byproducts of the manufacturing process as standard hazards. PPE use will be required in those instances.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of industry specifications and standards preferred.
- Exceptional organizatoinal and communicatoin skills.
- Proficient blueprint reading, including GD&T.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software and Mastercam or equivalent programming software.
- Ideal candidate has knowledge of metallurgy, plating, coatings, and assembly.
