As a EH&S Specialist, you will be responsible for: associate safety, environmental protection and safeguarding the organization from hazards- work closely with the senior leadership to develop a robust EH&S strategy, led by your industry experience and by using data, to achieve results.

Specific Responsibilities and Results:
A. Must ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, and company guidelines are implemented.
B. Coordinate, develop and implement environmental, occupational health, and safety procedures for the organization.
C. Ensure adherence to all relevant legal rules and regulations.
D. Educate and oversee associates on environmental, occupational health and safety procedures and regulations.
E. Monitor personnel and workspace
F. Always ensure the company is prepared to submit all the relevant health and safety documents.
G. Encourage and promote the use of safer work equipment, materials, and supplies.
H. Track the number of incidents and produce reports.
I. Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals
J. Report to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organizations
K. Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices.
L. Collaborate and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders such management.
M. Drives continuous improvement in the operations.
N. Assist the Director of HR/EHS in the development and execution of a manufacturing plan to drive continuous improvement objectives.
O. Champions the corporate “Code of Honor”
Results: Reports presented to management for monthly review. Accurate data provided to enable effective decision making.
Qualifications
- 5 years of environmental safety and occupational health in metal stamping and prototype manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and/or Environmental policy
- Hands-on experience with performing audits and writing reports
- Excellent organizational time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Follows policies and procedures.
- Good computer skills including efficient use of Plex ERP software.
- An entrepreneurial mentality
- Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and leadership
- A proven history of overachieving targets and KPIs
