The Baraga County Road Commission has an immediate opening for an experienced Equipment & Fleet Supervisor to join their team in L’Anse, Michigan.
This position will oversee the shop and inventory operations for our road commission vehicles and equipment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our fleet is well-maintained, serviced, and ready to tackle the job. WHAT WE OFFER.
- $29.07 – $30.78 per hour starting pay based on your knowledge and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
- Manage shop operations, including parts inventory and ordering/purchasing of equipment parts and supplies.
- Perform diagnostics and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Coordinate schedules for preventative maintenance, scheduled repairs, and urgent repairs.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and fuel records and reports related to activities (inventory, safety data documentation, work requests, accident, and safety issues).

- Knowledge of heavy equipment and truck maintenance is preferred.
- Hands-on mechanical skills – diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.
