Overview The Collision Equipment Repair Technician will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of welding and vehicle body measuring equipment in our Car-O-Liner distribution & service center. Perform data entry into service system as required. * Coordinate service activities on assigned products. * Act as a resource for others as needed. * Keep abreast with industry standards and emerging technology. * Participate in special projects as needed. * Follow all company policies and procedures. * Perform all other duties as assigned by management. * Maintain a safe work area through example. Qualifications * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Strong mechanical ability and basic equipment repair skills * Moderate understanding of Electronics - (preferred, but not required) * Keen problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. * Customer focused. * Ability to learn a broad range of products across multiple product lines. * Strong mechanical ability and equipment repair skills with use of hand tools and basic electronic testing equipment. * Computer skills: Basic proficiency with Windows operating systems, as well as Office 365, experience in using Service Ticket systems (Freshdesk - preferred but not required) * Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, including technical writing skills * Attention to detail. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. * Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations, customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. * Ability to lift to 40lbs (18kg) * Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
