Biewer of Lansing, LLC is looking to add a full-time Forklift Operator to our team in Lansing, MI. This position will operate a powered industrial truck to load and unload materials and move them to and from storage locations, production areas, and distribution sections for shipping and receiving.
Scheduling :
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday 6 am to 4 pm
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday 11 am to 7 pm
Accountabilities:
Primary Responsibilities will include:
- Load and unload materails from truck trailers and railcars.
- Stack items safely in the correct storage bays.
- Locate and move all stock of products.
- Identify product damages.
- Work in loading and production departments as assigned.
- Utilize RF Scan Gun for all functions and movement of material.
- Responsibly follow all safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating 6,000 to 8,000 PIT is required.
- Hydro-static forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to work all elements of an outdoor environment year-round.
- Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reading, writing, and math competency demonstrated by a high school diploma or equivalent.
