Biewer of Lansing, LLC is looking to add a full-time Shift Supervisor to our team in Lansing, MI. We are searching for an experienced supervisor for 1 st shift to help guide our team and reinforce our company's mission of being the #1 choice for wood product solutions.
Scheduling:
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday 6 am to 4 pm
Accountabilities : Primary Responsibilities will include:
- Ensure all employees are following the plant’s safety rules.
- Evaluate personnel on a yearly basis.
- Coaching and training personnel on plant procedures.
- Assisting team leads on coaching employees.
- Attend weekly department meetings.
- Perform Daily Audits
- Responsible for yard organization and cleanliness
- conducts all injury/incident investigations
- monitors and maintains quality and proper packaging specs.
- Communication with Management regarding goals
Qualification:
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and aptitude to navaigate and acquire skills to use internal systems.
- Possess leadership, communication and interpersonal skills in relationships with employees and management.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions.
- 3-5 years experience supervising.
