PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - This full time (40 hours) position works in the Pharmacy to prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. This position may measure, mix, count out, label and record amounts and dosages of medications. This position will document and maintain accurate client records in accordance with the Hannahville Health Center Medical Records Policies; maintains confidentiality of health care information in agreement with the Federal Medical Privacy Act; provides basic CPR in cases of emergencies and assistance during emergency situations; receives written prescription or refill requests and verifies that information is complete; maintains proper storage and security of prescription drugs; helps clean and maintain pharmacy equipment and workspace; processes prescriptions through computer system; learns PDX system and updates patient profiles and drug files; operates cash registers; prepares and processes medical insurance claim forms and records; delivers medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients; prices stock and marks items for sale; etc.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, Current MI. Certified Pharmacy Technician license holder in good standing. Must have Covid-19 vaccination. One year previous experience in Pharmacy practice required. Knowledge of generally accepted office practices, confidentiality and secured record management. Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations. Positive customer service and staff-customer interactions.
