PLEASE NOTE: This is a Pipeline Requisition for students competing in the 2025 CMU (Central Michigan University) ERPsim Competition. The IT Analyst is responsible for helping business partners implement technology solutions by determining the requirements of a business unit, project, initiative, or program, and assisting teams in translating these requirements into user stories and features. The IT Analyst provides general analytical support across projects, initiatives, and business units, as well as the entire organization, and understands key business processes, key business drivers, short and long-term strategy, and related technologies. During development, the IT Analyst deals with issues and questions and provides support in implementing required changes. Additionally, the IT Analyst participates in planning and supports quality efforts. * Gather data to support the addressing of specific problems. * Participate in collaboration sessions to understand how to define the business impact of opportunities and problems through financial and non-financial analysis; takes notes for reference by the team. * Contribute to development of findings/ takeaways/ trends for discussion in planning meetings. * Perform industry research as directed and gathers evidence to support analysts in inspiring stakeholders about the art of the possible. * Assist in investigating, resolving, and escalating problems, under the direction of others. * Participate in project/program planning sessions to define goals, business/IT requirements, capabilities, and scope. * Work closely with analysts to learn about products, platforms, services, and projects. * Assist in the development of impact and gap analyses. * Participate in user story discovery sessions and assists in the development of session documentation. * Assist other analysts with bridging requirements and mapping business to technical requirements. * Collaborate on technical support work with team members. * Participate in cross functional team collaboration sessions to develop design documentation. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree preferred. Or equivalent work experience. * One (1) year of relevant system solution development, testing and implementation or intern work experience preferred. * Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work independently, or within a team environment. * Knowledge of Agile methodologies preferred, although not required. * Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles. * Experience analyzing data preferred. * Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills. * Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
