MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Parks and Recreation or Business Administration;
-OR-
Associate degree in Facilities Management, Parks and Recreation, Business Administration, HVAC, Electrical or related facilities/management degree program -AND- two (2) years' experience in Facilities Management, Business Administration, HVAC, Electrical or any combination of the above;
-OR-
Four (4) years' experience in Facilities Management, Business Administration, HVAC, Electrical or any combination of the above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and irregular hours.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of administrative and skilled duties required within the Facilities Services Division, including: Fleet Operations, Asset Management, Warehouse & Inventory Control, Project Management, Capital Planning, and Safety, Compliance & Training Support.; works under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management and coordinates staff in the above listed areas; performs related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates full-time staff and seasonal staff in the Facilities Services Division.
- Assists the Director of Facilities Management with Parks asset management.
- Maintains the Parks preventative maintenance program for buildings, grounds and facilities.
- Supports the Director of Facilities Management with administrative duties.
- Assists in developing and maintaining budgets.
- Supports the development and execution of bids and procurement activities.
- Supports the Director of Facilities Management in ensuring public and employee safety, preparing training documents and tracking employee training.
- Recommends, plans and implements Parks projects.
- Coordinates and supervises on-site projects, conducting field inspections to ensure completion in accordance with established specifications.
- Assists in the development of annual goals and evaluates progress toward achieving them.
- Assists the Director of Facilities Management with the maintenance of computer equipment, software programs and network connectivity.
- Assists with the upkeep and management of ArcGIS and other Parks software systems.
- Prepares reports and maintains records as required by local, state and federal agencies.
