This is a Full-Time position, working 1st Shift.
Overview Dow Corning, a U.S. based, multinational corporation and global leader in the silicon-based industry seeks an Instrument Journeyman Technician for a position at our Midland Site manufacturing facility, located in Midland, Michigan.
Must have un-restricted employment authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Skills/Requirements This position will maintain plant instrumentation. Proficiency in measuring flow, level, temperature and pressure equipment based on use of Hart Smart Instrumentation is essential. Perform preventative maintenance tasks and complete work request. Perform calibrations per proper procedures. Installation and checkout of plant instrumentation. Assist in start-up of new installations. Assist Manufacturing and Engineering on instrument related issues. Assure completion of proper documentation. Proper use and maintenance of test equipment. Assist in the development and training of newer employees.
Must be available for OT/emergency call-ins. Attend all safety meetings. Adhere to all safety standards with good housekeeping practices. Must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety and health regulations. Good manual dexterity. Able to work comfortably in high places. Able to climb stairs and catwalks. Must be able to work in awkward positions, in inclement weather, and lift moderately heavy objects.
Education/Experience Required: Must have 4 years of Instrumentation Experience or equivalent experience
Must successfully complete (above company identified passing scores) company sponsored skilled trades aptitude test
Relocation is not provided and travel is not required.
