Position Overview
The Account Director is responsible for leading and managing client relationships, ensuring the delivery of excellent service and strategic direction. This role requires a strong focus on business development, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive account growth and achieve financial targets.
This is a full time, direct hire role that will require you to be onsite in Birmingham, MI 3 days/week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients to understand their needs and provide strategic guidance.
- Lead a team of account managers and professionals to ensure the successful execution of client projects and initiatives.
- Drive business development efforts to identify and pursue new opportunities within existing accounts and new market segments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and operations to deliver integrated solutions that meet client objectives.
- Manage financial aspects of accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning and account management approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in client relationship management or account management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in strategic leadership and business development.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry and experiential marketing is a plus.
