Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for managing a team of logistic engineers that support business goals through proactively identifying beneficial opportunities for Con-way and its customers. The manager is responsible for managing the team budget, aligning resources, establishing process compliance, and setting team direction. The manager will also need to identify and coordinate resources required to meet the company objectives and engineering department vision.This position will help lead change using a process oriented, data driven, and customer focused approach. Successful Engineering managers are able to understand the big picture, make the right tradeoffs to support overall business strategy, and have excellent analytical skills. In addition, they excel at thinking creatively, balancing multiple initiatives simultaneously, and developing collaborative working relationships with business partners, technical experts, and customers. The successful candidate will be a creative and results oriented problem solver, effective at building teams with strong business acumen and effective communication & collaboration skills.

* Work with all levels including executives, managers, front line, technical experts, scientists, IT, and customers.
