Job Description Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Work with all species within the parasitology group to include large and small animals and various internal (worms) and external (fleas, ticks and mosquitoes) animal parasites. * Assay development, optimization, and/or validation. * Demonstrate proficiency with laboratory techniques and data management including computer skills. * Utilize sterile cell culture techniques, whole organism work, whole blood work and/or cell culture work. * Establish and maintain parasite colonies. * Assist within vivoparasite model work. * Communicate with and assist technicians and other mid-senior level scientists. * Follow and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) associated with laboratory procedures and study protocols. * Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Other computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. * Work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, fast-paced, timeline driven and a positive attitude and organizational skills. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major). * At least one-year laboratory experience. * Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Additional Information Position is full-time,first shift, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM with variation and overtime as needed.
