Our global retail client is seeking a Copywriter to join their creative bench and help them craft compelling and effective marketing and sales materials for multiple brands. This is a freelance role that will be project based as needed, but could be around 40 hours per week depending on the need. The role is fully remote, but you must be able to work either EST / CST hours.
As a Copywriter, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with our marketing and design teams to create impactful messaging that drives sales and engages customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write creative and persuasive copy for various retail brands across multiple platforms, including print, digital, and social media
- Develop and maintain brand voice and tone guidelines to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to concept and execute campaigns that align with brand strategies
- Research and understand target audience and market trends to inform copywriting strategies
- Edit and proofread all copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in copywriting and retail marketing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in the retail industry
- Proven ability to write compelling and effective copy for a variety of audiences and platforms
- Strong understanding of branding and the ability to maintain brand voice and tone
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies is a plus
