Wage: $15.48 beginning rate, new hire
Educational requirement: Applicant must meet one of the following requirements:
? Associates Degree, or
? Successful passage of WORKKEYS at Level 4 for Reading and Math and Level 3 for Writing, or
? Successful passage of ETS Paraprofessional Testing (minimum score 460)
? Successful completion of State of Michigan teacher certification assessment.
Qualifications:
? Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
? Knowledge of Library/Media Center Operations preferred
? Technology skills preferred
? Knowledge of McKinney-Vento (Homeless) program preferred
? Will be responsible for Good Fellows, Student of the Month and Tech Support issues
? Successful experience working with middle school age children preferred
? Ability to work independently and creatively to implement the goals of the program
? Self-directed, exercises good judgment and can make responsible decisions
? Demonstrates a warm, caring and compassionate character with a firm and consistent manner
? Excellent attendance record
? Ability to push or pull up to 25 pounds
? Criminal Background check including fingerprinting required
