We have an exciting Full-Year (12-months) Internship opportunity available within the Informatics Environment (IE) Platform Support Team at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI (BCBSM)! About the Role As part of our IE Platform Support Team, the Full-Year Intern will learn and support technologies and processes inAWS Technology stack. The Intern will work with other team members to document security processes and code deployment procedures. The Intern will learn and/or further develop skills with AWS Technologies and learn BCBSM processes related to IE Cloud and environment operations. Full-Year (12-months) Internship will involve the following duties: * Manage blue access and role-based security for Informatics Environment. * Manage user access for Redshift and Postgres databases. * Manage s3 key documentation in Informatics Environment. * Coordinate with various IT teams for s3 key rotation. * Create and manage documentation for various functions in Informatics. Desired IT Skills/Competencies: * Understanding of Linux operating system * Understanding of Database technologies * Understanding of AWS Cloud technologies Please Note: * This is a Paid internship working approx. 30 hours per week; only candidatesthat can work this type of schedule should apply. * Hybrid work structure, which requires working one-day per week on-site at our downtown Detroit office (we provide free parking within our covered parking structure that is connected to our building). Additional aspects of the Internship may include: * Participate in networking events with BCBSM leaders and other interns. * Engage in volunteer activities/community outreach to build knowledge of our communities and customers. * Participate in department meetings and events (i.e., monthly Diversity and Inclusion events, department wide team building events, weekly meetings to ensure team alignment, etc.). "Qualifications" * Current undergraduate or graduate student with a 3.0 GPA or higher required. * Interns must be enrolled in a four-year college/university or a Master's/PhD program for the duration of the internship. * Must be able to work full-year (12 months), approx. 30 hours per week. * Looking to pursue a field in Information Technology. * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) etc. * Effective verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills - this role may involve presenting for various areas of IT or Business team. * Bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. * Excellent organizational skills to deal with multiple projects and priorities. * Responsible for maintaining confidential information to the highest degree.
