Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join their team on-site in Roseville, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and be proficient in various engineering software tools. This role involves designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
This is a full-time, contract role with the opportunity for direct hire.
Duties
- Responsible to lead engineering teams, program managers, and prototype builders
- Ability to lead new projects from start to finish while providing strong leadership to keep team on track to meet all measurables
- Lead engineering Webex meetings
- Approve purchase and track program spending
- Manage and coordinate protype builds and root cause technical issues working with internal departments and external suppliers on low volume prototype builds
- Ability to effectively communicate all levels of OEM management
- Comfortable using hand and power tools, crimpers, soldering irons, etc.
- Maintain, track and work to close-out open items list
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of engineering or 1+ years in engineering leadership role.
- Experience working on projects from cradle to grave ranging from aerospace, automotive, seating, interiors and defense
- Familiar with microcontrollers (Arduino,Raspberry PI)
- Familiar with programming languages C, Python
- Experience in automotive, aerospace or defense is preferred
- Ability to multitask while working on multiple projects with various timelines
