Opportunity
Seeking an experienced BOM (bill of material) Coordinator for a full time position in Roseville, MI. This is a contract position with the opportunity for direct hire.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the flow of materials within the logistics and supply chain department
- Collaborate with demand planning team to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Monitor and track inventory levels to optimize stock availability and minimize excess or obsolete inventory
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Assist in the negotiation and management of contracts with supplier
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency in material handling and storage
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records and resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement in supply chain management
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- 3 years of experience using MRP software
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Working knowledge of inventory usage and cut-in dates
- Ability to read blueprints
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
