Job Description:
Nexteer is looking for integral members of our Manufacturing Engineering assembly team. Expertise is needed in these areas: Automation and Robotics. - Develop, specify, validate and install new automation and/or robotic applications for assembly processes and material handling application
- Develop common Manufacturing systems for global implementation
- Integration of robotics and automation into operations that were previously not automated
- Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for an assigned area
- Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required
- Estimate lead time and cost of capital equipment
- Understand & lead safety/ergonomic requirements
- Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs
- Support and improve the Nexteer Manufacturing System
- Support all plant initiatives to meet plant goals
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 2 years previous experience with automation and/or robotics experience OR 5-10 years of previous experience with automation and/or robotics experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Robot programming and protocols
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
- High level of analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (ie: Shainin/Six Sigma)
- Global Travel required
- Weekend and off shift working hours may be required during implementation phases
