What You'll Do
As a Expedited Freight Dispatcher and Support Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our freight operations run smoothly while contributing to the daily success of our business. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating freight shipments across North America using internet load boards, custom bid boards and dispatch systems.
- Negotiating rates and service levels with carriers to meet customer needs.
- Solving logistical challenges to ensure on-time and efficient deliveries.
- Accurately maintaining shipment records and client data.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors.
- Providing office support, including accounting tasks, data entry, and process management.

Must-Have Qualifications
- Office Support Experience: A proven ability to manage administrative and operational tasks.
- Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with MS Office, quick typing (30+ WPM), and familiarity with office software.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A resourceful mindset for tackling challenges and ensuring smooth operations.
- Communication Skills: Professional and positive interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
- Flexibility: A willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and be on call as needed.
Preferred but Not Required
- Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Dispatch Experience: Previous experience in freight dispatching or logistics.
- Freight Brokerage Knowledge: A background in the freight brokerage or transportation industries.
- CRM Experience: Familiarity with ACT/GoldMine or similar tools.
- Negotiation Skills: Confidence in negotiating rates and service agreements with carriers.
